Christian Aid

We are committed to supporting the work of Christian Aid both within our church congregation and, importantly, outside the church - witnessing our faith by being active fundraisers in the local community.

Fairhaven Methodist Church has a team of volunteers who hold a House-to-House Collection during Christian Aid Week in May every year.  In 2013 we raised £1085 towards the Lytham St Annes total of £12,587.  In 2014, 7 collectors will visit 422 addresses, delivering and collecting 486 envelopes.

We are active supporters in other ways too:

  • We host an annual Christian Aid Lunch
  • We volunteer in the Store Bucket Collections at Booths and Marks and Spencer's.
  • In 2013 a sponsored fast by 2 members of our church raised £550 for the Christian Aid Partnership project.

We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team and anyone interested in helping with the work of Christian Aid should contact Anne Spooner at the church.

"Faith by itself, if not accompanied by action, is dead."  James 2:17
