WELLBEING AT FAIRHAVEN
Because we are created to live life in all its fullness
Because we are created to live life in all its fullness
As Christians we believe that it is vital that we take care of ourselves and we have an opportunity to share this in our community. Linking with Lal (Lancashire adult learning) and other partners in our community we are offering courses and activities designed to strengthen your resiliance.
Many of the courses are free if you live in the Fylde Coast and the enrolment can be tricky so if you are unable to complete the for just email us on fairhavenmethodist@outlook.com and we will add you to the list and you can register on the day.
The Hub is a friendly, welcoming community space where you can come along for a cuppa, a chat, practical support, or simply the opportunity to meet other people.
Sometimes we all need a little help. Sometimes we just need somewhere to go and people to talk to. The Wellbeing Hub is here to provide both.
Tuesdays: 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Thursdays: 12.30pm – 6.00pm (Citizens Advice available 12.30 – 2pm )
You can drop in during these times. There is no need to make an appointment.
The Wellbeing Hub has been created to help strengthen our local community and build resilience.
It provides a welcoming place where people can:
You don’t need to be experiencing a crisis to come along. We want to support people before difficulties become overwhelming, as well as being there when life gets tough.
The Hub also provides a space where local agencies, charities and voluntary organisations can connect directly with the community.
Organisations such as Citizens Advice, alongside other local support organisations, will be able to offer information, guidance and practical assistance.
This means you don’t have to know exactly where to go or who to contact. Come and talk to us and we can help you explore what support might be available.
On the last Tuesday of the month from 3:00pm The Bereavement Cafe is open.
It does not matter what or who you lost or how long ago it happened grief is hard to go through. Come and join us hear other people’s stories and share tea coffee and refreshments. We offer this space to heal, talk about those you have lost and share ways to work through it.
Our extended Thursday opening, from 12.30pm until 6.00pm, provides an opportunity for young people and families to come along after school.
We are particularly keen to welcome families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Hub provides a relaxed and supportive environment where parents, carers and children can:
There is no expectation to take part in anything or to explain your circumstances. Come along, have a drink, meet people and see what the Hub is about.

🌿 MORE THAN JUST CRAFTS
Sometimes we all need permission to stop, breathe and do something just for ourselves.
These sessions are an opportunity to:
✨ Try something you’ve never done before
✨ Meet new people
✨ Discover a creative side you didn’t know you had
✨ Build confidence
Loneliness can affect anyone.
You might have recently moved to the area, be living on your own, be caring for someone, have lost a loved one, be struggling with changes in your circumstances, or simply find it difficult to meet people.
The Wellbeing Hub is one way we can help build a more connected community.
We believe that wellbeing isn’t just about getting through difficult times. It is also about friendship, belonging, purpose and knowing that there are people around you.
Sometimes a cup of tea and a conversation can be the first step towards something more.
Building community resilience
The Wellbeing Hub has been made possible through UK Government Crisis and Resilience Funding.
The project has been developed in response to the need for stronger community connections, accessible support and opportunities for people to build resilience.
We want to create a community where people know where to turn when they need help and where people are encouraged to support one another.
By bringing residents, community organisations, charities and support services together in one place, the Hub aims to strengthen the networks that help our community flourish.
The Wellbeing Hub is part of Fairhaven Methodist Church’s commitment to serving the wider community.
You don’t need to be a church member to come along.
You don’t need to be religious.
You don’t need to have a particular problem.
You don’t even need to know anyone when you arrive.
Just come through the door.
We’d love to welcome you.
